I am a full-time music tutor and multi-instrumentalist with over eight years of teaching experience across schools, private tuition, and community settings. I have worked with students aged 4 and above.
Creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment is at the heart of my teaching. I hold safeguarding certification through Educare and the NSPCC, ensuring students and parents can feel confident and secure throughout the learning process.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual, whether you’re learning for enjoyment, working towards graded exams, developing specific techniques, or returning to music after a break. I teach the Rockschool (RSL) syllabus, and I incorporate music theory naturally into lessons to strengthen understanding, musicianship, and communication.
My teaching approach is engaging, practical, and student-focused. I believe that music should be both rewarding and enjoyable, so lessons are designed to build confidence, encourage creativity, and develop effective practice habits that lead to steady, long-term progress.
Alongside teaching, I am an experienced touring and recording musician. I have performed at major UK festivals and shared stages with artists including The Blockheads, Tom Meighan, The Kills, Starsailor, Sunset Sons, and The Subways. This professional experience allows me to bring real-world industry knowledge into lessons, helping students gain a broader understanding of modern music and performance.
