A Partnership Designed for Tutors
Rockschool has always been about supporting Tutors, not just students. This partnership with Yamaha takes that support a step further by turning everyday recommendations into a genuine revenue stream. Yamaha instruments are now available in the Backstage shop, and when your students or their parents buy through Backstage, you earn commission automatically.
Rockschool Associates receive 50% of the profit margin on Yamaha instruments sold through Backstage
This includes:
- Pianos, keyboards, and stage pianos
- Acoustic and electric guitars
- Guitar starter packs with amps and accessories
- Electronic and acoustic drum kits
- Bass guitars, amps, and pedals
- Line 6 and Ampeg products
To keep things fair and transparent, prices in the Backstage shop are matched with the lowest reputable online sellers. This means that you can recommend instruments with confidence and nobody pays more than they should. Margins in music retail are tight, but even so, commissions can range from small top-ups to up to £50 on larger purchases. In some cases, one recommendation can cover a month of your Rockschool subscription!
Earn on Rockschool Products
It doesn’t stop with instruments. Associate Tutors can also earn commission on:
- RiFF subscriptions – £5 per sign-up
- Rockschool eBooks – 10% commission
- Physical Rockschool books (via referral links) – 10% commission
That means whether your students are upgrading their gear, buying syllabus content, or subscribing to digital learning tools, you earn back for supporting their learning.
